2nd Review-Rurouni Kenshin

Well..this time I'd like to introduce about a comic book I've recently read. It is 'Rurouni Kenshin'. It grounds on a part of Japanese history; from the Shogunate government to the opening part of Meiji peroid.
Kenshin, samurai, is extremely good at using sword. One day he decides to use his ability to make a new era that people can live happier. So he take parts in Meiji patriots. He gets missions to kill people who are in the Shogunate government who obstruct Meiji renovation. After he kills thousands of people, he realizes that his way was not absolutely right, though his purpose to make a better world was good. So he decides not to harm anyone afterwards, and becomes a vagabond. He helps many weak people from then. However, his past sins worry himself. This shows the way to atone for a sin and a will to live.
This picture is the hero and heroine of this book.
I didn't realized that I am interested in comic books that is about history. Now as I review ones that I liked, they have a common, that is, they grounds on historical facts. I've stopped reading comic books after I got into university, but this one was quite interesting. Its story is not that complicated but makes me think about the atonement and life itself.
